Here's something I got from a friend. It's a teambuilding opportunity: you can drive a tank together. I think that's as much randomness as I can communicate; go look at the link for more.

Team building exercise
The job that ate my brain did just that. It's been months since I posted. I'm sorry. I'm alive (and Facebooking, another distraction from blogging).

A fun, weird project
Okay, this is definitely weird... so I'm definitely inclined to tell you about it!
For everyone whose been involved in Zombie Walks in the last year or two, you really need to be part of the 3D Zombie Puppet Musical. Go read the associated page and watch the video. You'll love it. You can be part of it!

We now know when Jesus is coming--May 21, 2011
The world is coming to an end on May 21, 2011. Well, at least for Christians; that's when Jesus is coming according to this guy. He's not being casual about it, either; there are 40 billboards in Nashville announcing this already, which is rather impressive. He is committed to this date.
Well, I'll have our taxes filed months before that, so I guess that's all to the good.
I really people who're so specific about the end of the world. As long as they're not describing an asteroid strike or something factual, they're whackjobs, but it's kinda in the "C'mon, lads, we must get a winner one day" spirit.

Just when you think you've seen it all....
It's a G-spot mouse. Technically, it's the G Point mouse. (There are more photos at the link.)
Here's an interview with the designer, too. Okay, I really need to try one of these.
Addendum: here's a great short article with a ton of really good comments. Some jokes just write themselves, after all.

The funny side of a funeral
Okay, someone I know was at a funeral today for someone in her office who died of a pulmonary embolism. When she told me about this, she said "Am I a bad person?" She'd been at the funeral and almost burst out laughing when the first song they played was "Take My Breath Away." Even worse, the second song was "Total Eclipse of the Heart."
Well, if she's a bad person, I am, too, because this is really funny stuff!

The Blessed Virgin Mary makes an ironic appearance
(Not really SFW, but very, very funny.)
The Friendly Atheist has this article about the appearance of the BVM in an ironic location. But, hell, if Jesus can appear in tortillas and mildew stains, the BVM can appear in... uh...
Be sure to read the comments, which are also very funny.

And you thought you had no life....
This thing just keeps going on and on and on. (They used a lot of electrical tape.) I'm truly dazzled at what human boredom + inventiveness can come up with. "Hey, Beavis, whaddaya think 'll happen if I put the dumbbell over here on this track?"
There's a little sound, but it's really essential to a few of the things to appreciate the level of weirdness. Keep it low if you're at work and concerned.
