Jeff Swanson and Me

My best friend from high school, Jeff Swanson, lives in Princeton right now, about an hour from Philly. When we were there for Sarah's graduation, he was able to drive in. He's a great guy and I'm very, very happy to have him in my life after all these years.

Crystals!

One of my very oldest friends, Jeff Swanson, just sent me this amazing link. It's an article (with lots of photos) on Mexico's Cueva de los Cristales, or "Cave of Crystals."

When we say "crystals" here, we aren't just messing around. There are crystals 36 feet tall.

I'll say that again: Thirty. Six. Feet. Tall.

This is to say that there are big translucent crystals that are taller than your WHOLE HOUSE!

And there are lots of them.

There are photos of people standing next to or even amidst crystals and they simply don't look like real photos. They look like someone photoshopped a picture of a person onto a picture of a white geode. Nope, that's not it at all.
